Melville Park Hereford announced the champions of the 2020 RASV Heifer Challenge Melbourne Royal Initiatives
The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) named Melville Park Herefords, Vasey, Victoria, as the RASV Heifer Challenge Champion for 2020 at a prestigious celebration last night at Melbourne Showgrounds, following eight days of on-farm judging. The Vasey located property, led by David Lyons was selected from the 32 entered properties to be awarded the honour and a $3,000 cash prize.

South East Australia Bushfire Relief and Recovery Melbourne Royal Initiatives
The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) acknowledges the broad effect of the ongoing bushfire crisis across south east Australia.   With much of south east Australia impacted by the devastating bushfires that continue to burn, our thoughts and best wishes are with those that have been affected and the many volunteer firefighters, emergency services and community groups that continue to work tirelessly to protect the communities.   On behalf of our members, staff, exhibitors and clients, we are pledging an initial donation $50,000 to support the bushfire relief. These funds will be directed to supporting the communities during the relief and recovery process.

2019 Heifer Challenge Champion Announced Melbourne Royal Initiatives
The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) annual Heifer Challenge has named Ravensdale Poll Herefords the Champion for 2019, following nine days of on-farm judging. The RASV Heifer Challenge conducted during Stock & Land Beef Week saw 36 properties from Victoria and Southern NSW compete for the title of Heifer Challenge Champion.

Victorian Aimee Bolton awarded RASV’s Youth Travel Scholarship Melbourne Royal Initiatives
Twenty-one-year-old Aimee Bolton of Congupna, Victoria has been awarded the coveted RASV Youth Travel Scholarship. Awarded by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), the Youth Travel Scholarship offers future development and career opportunities, providing the recipient with a $10,000 travel bursary to visit an agricultural region or event of their choice anywhere in the world.
